In order to increase the speed when running on AMD processors or Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines, the newly released Windows Android emulator supports hardware acceleration enhancements previously only available on Intel processors.\\Īlthough native AMD support has been available on Mac and Linux for a long time, it is not the case on Windows, and the Android emulator is limited to software simulation.
